Glencove Marine

Description: Glencove Marine began in a driveway in 1984. The driveway belonged to two of the proprietors, Barry Moore & Joey Noel. Other partners were Dan & Carol Smith, and Ron & Jan Thompson. Soon outgrowing the driveway, the owners moved to Horseshoe Bend, buying out Glencove Resort on Carol Road and opening a full service Marina. While Barry & Joey managed the Service Department, Dan & Carol managed the Sales Department, Office, & Sea Store. Ron & Jan began their ownership as silent partners in the Company. In 1988 Barry & Joey sold their portion of the Company to Willis & Carol Sieg, who took over the Service Department management for several years. In 1994 Dan & Carol Smith retired from Glencove while Ron & Jan Thompson became active partners from that time forward. While Willis & Carol went on to pursue other projects, they became the new silent partners in the Company. Ron began to expand the Horseshoe Bend Marina into the future and became the new "hands-on" partner. A new Service Department was built, more ground was cleared for dry storage of boats, a fiberglass shop was developed, new storage docks were added, and a new Sea Store was put into place. Most recently, a new trailer parking lot was added. Glencove offers top of the line rental boats, pontoons, and PWC's at the Marina, The Yacht Club, and new in 2005, at Glencove at The Knolls on the 21MM. This has all been done in an effort to better what Glencove has to offer their patrons. Glencove opened a new indoor Sales Showroom in 1997 on Hwy 54 in the heart of Osage Beach. Soon to follow in 2001 was a new Yacht Club, Sea Store and gas Dock on Business Hwy 54, conveniently located off the strip in Lake Ozark. In 2006, Glencove added 2 more facilities to our growing family: Glencove Yacht Club Marina off of KK at the 21MM, and Glencove Yacht Club Showroom on Hwy 54, just West of the Grand Glaize bridge. These 2 facilities add several product lines to our repertoire: Sea-Doo Watercraft, Sea-Doo Sport Boats, Bombardier ATV, Doral, and Ebbtide. Glencove Marine is one of the top employers at the Lake of the Ozarks. Glencove takes pride in retaining expert employees in all of the fields that it takes to make a good Marina the Best!
