In case you're not familiar with its reputation, the XLT1200 has been known for being the most powerful mid-size watercraft in its class and continues to carry on Yamaha's tradition of performance, craftsmanship and reliability. Designed for families who want a powerful, responsive three-seater that doesn't skimp on features, this WaveRunner is loaded with all the comforts you would expect from a Yamaha, including a 155-horsepower Yamaha Marine Engine with electronic power valves. Combine that with its multi-chine V-hull which offers a fast, responsive and comfortable ride and Yamaha's Sound Suppression System, which reduces noise and vibration levels, and all of a sudden you've got yourself a WaveRunner that's nothing short of extraordinary. "WILL SHIP ANYWHERE" MECHANICAL EQUIPMENT The XLT1200 is powered by a high-performance, 155 horsepower, three-cylinder, 1176cc Yamaha marine engine. Three 44mm Mikuni carburetors with two accelerator pumps provide fuel to this awesome powerplant, providing excellent throttle response throughout the total RPM range. Features include: Yamaha Power Valve System (Y.P.V.S.): Computer controlled, electronic, variable exhaust port timing for maximum horsepower at all RPM ranges with no compromise to throttle response. Ceramic-plated Cylinders: Optimal heat transfer and less friction for better durability and performance. Yamaha Loop-charged Combustion: Fuel mixture actually loops as it enters the combustion chamber, which helps distribute fuel/air mixture evenly for better combustion, performance and fuel economy. Individual Seven Port Cylinders: Allows for high efficiency of fuel/air mixture transfer to combustion chamber. Accelerator Pumps: Maximum throttle response, no off-idle hesitation. High-performance Tuned Exhaust Pipe and Manifold: The equal flow manifold allows all cylinders to perform equally at peak performance. The exhaust chamber is specially designed to complement the Y.P.V.S. technology. Variable Oil Injection: Regulates the fuel/oil mixture to deliver only what is needed at different RPM levels; reduces smoke and oil consumption. Corrosion Protection System: Sacrificial zinc anodes protect the engine from harmful galvanic corrosion. Stainless steel fasteners (nuts, bolts, hardware) provide a long service life. Cylinders, cases and heads are all treated with a durable oxide coating to form a barrier between corrosion and expensive engine parts. Electronically Controlled, Variable Ignition Timing: For exact ignition advance control at all throttle positions and RPMs. Reverse: Allows the watercraft to be backed up off a trailer or out of tight spots where you can not turn around easily. Quick Shift Trim System (Q.S.T.S.): Mechanically operated, this system offers instant change in the attitude of the watercraft while underway allowing for tighter turns or quicker acceleration on plane, as the rider prefers. Q.S.T.S. offers five positions and 24 degrees of total trim range. Stainless Steel Impeller Housing Liner: For high durability, the liner maintains accurate clearance tolerances between the impeller and the housing. High Flow Intake Duct and Grate: The dynamic shape of these items directs water flow into the pump for better thrust, performance and hook up. Cooling Water Intake Filter: Filters out harmful debris that could cause blockage of important cooling water passages. Pumps are Manufactured with YDC30: A combination of zinc and copper alloys, developed by Yamaha marine engineers, that offers excellent corrosion protection. DECK & HULL Multi-chine, V-hull with Extended Keel: Provides excellent maneuverability, handling and comfort. Extended Ride Plate: Significantly reduces the time-to-plane, delivering an improved two and three-up riding experience. Performance Sponson Design: Provides added straight-line comfort and an improved two and three-up riding experience. Integrated Bow Spray Guard: Reduces bow spray for a dry ride. ADDITIONAL EQUIPMENT Five-step Adjustable Tilt Steering System: Allows the rider to adjust the steering column angle from 55 degrees to 35 degrees. Multi-function Electronic Information Center: Provides the operator a quick read on speed, RPM, fuel level, oil level, low fuel warning, low oil warning, battery level, overheat warning, clock, trip distance, trip time and hour meter with the industry's only audible warning system. PADLOC: The industry's first personalized, programmable, digital security system. 24 Gallons of Total Storage: Includes an eight-gallon, self-draining cooler and glove box. Comfortable Two-piece Seat: Ergonomically-designed and contoured for added support. The front seat is easily removed for quick access to the engine while the rear seat is removed to access the eight-gallon self-draining cooler. Finger Throttle Lever: Provides added comfort while reducing hand fatigue. Yamaha's Trademarked Visibility Spout: A A waterspout from the rear of the craft that improves the watercraft's conspicuity.
