I think the price I'm paying is fantastic. I have NOT seen it in person yet, but am going out to see it ASAP. There are pictures and I have a decent description.
It's a 1989 Palamino Pop-Up Camper. Buying it from a man, who got it from his father in law. Said his father in law spent over $700 on it a few years back, and he'd put some time and money into it as well.
He's asking $150, flat. Here's what I know an the pictures.

As you can see, the canvas is in excellent
shape as is most of the interior. There is some
warping of the cabinets and tabletop from the moisture
thats been in it. It pulls great. We pulled it to MA
last year with our Wrangler and couldnt even tell it
was back there. I removed the stove, sink and storage
tank last summer when I redid the countertop. I still
have these items and they come with it. The reason I
removed them was because we never used them.
This camper was my father in laws. He had it since
new, I think its an 89.
He also says:
Quote:
Ive had it covered with a
tarp and it doesnt seem to have gotten wet inside. It
does leak though and does have previous damage from
leaking. The damage is in the wood under the roof and
along the sides so there are other issues with latches
and handles that resulted from damaged wood in these
areas.
Has new tires, new canvas, new wiring harness for the TV.
SO! Here's what I want to know... I don't want a money pit, but I wouldn't mind a cheap project. Some new paint, tightening up the wood, siliconing the leak, etc. is no problem. Is this a good deal or am I asking for it?
I'm not looking to stay at a five star hotel with this thing. I'm a young guy and am used to camping in a tent. We go four wheeling with the Jeeps, so my pull limit is LOW and my tolerance for the elements is high. This looks perfect for me because it's cheaper than a good tent and will provide better shelter.
Here are the pics. Never owned one, so let me know what you think.
