Class A Forum
Forum for owners of Class A
Motorhomes, identified by the body, which looks like it's all one design from front to back. A
Class A is built on a stripped chassis bearing nothing but the axles, powertrain, steering
column, and vehicle controls. These are the top of the heap as far as motorhomes and RV's go.

Class B Forum
Forum for owners of Class B
Motorhomes, also known as a camper van. These are based on full-size and down-size vans to which
camping equipment is added. These usually have raised fiberglass roofs, and sometimes dropped
floors, for extra headroom inside.

Class C Forum
Forum for owners of the coach type
once known as a mini-motorhome, even though some are easily larger than smaller Class A units. A
Class C looks as though it has a van front-end attached to a motorhome body, usually with an
overhanging cabover bed area. These are built on a so-called "cutaway" chassis, which comes from
the GM or Ford factory with the van cab area affixed to the chassis.

Fifth-Wheel Forum
Forum for fifth-wheel owners.
They're very similar to a travel trailer, except it includes a large, raised "gooseneck" area up
front and it must be towed by a pickup. These are available from very small units, suitable for
towing with compact trucks, to huge 40-foot mansions on wheels.

Travel Trailer Forum
A forum specifically for owners
of the traditionally styled, hard-side trailer, which can be towed by almost any type of vehicle
of sufficient towing capacity. It's probably the most common and easily recognized towable
RV.

Tent/Folding Trailer Forum
Forum for owners of
tent/folding or pop-up trailers. This is a very common RV type for first-timers due to its
simplicity and relatively low cost. Most fold-downs include a small hard-side body shell, a hard
roof that raises into place, and fabric side and walls.
